“You might wonder what they are…

“Well, they are kind of like a maze but they are different in that there are no dead ends and only one way to the centre.

“You can walk through them either in prayer as they were originally intended for or use them to meditate, think, or play.

“The beauty is that you don’t need to pay attention too much to your surroundings and only need to follow the path.

“This is to free your mind by willing you to be in the moment.”

🔸labyrinths and play 🔸 . ever since i started studying labyrinths, they seem to pop up everywhere around me. these ones were drawn in chalk at the MacLean Park playground in Strathcona some time last month. walking a labyrinth doesn't always have to be a serious and solemn affair as we meditate our way to the centre. it can also be playful and light and joyous. . our inner child accesses earth magic in a totally different way than our grown-up selves do. how do our inner children feel about dancing or skipping, crawling or hopping or maybe even rolling their way through the labyrinth? play and movement is such a sacred part of healing. allow the inner child to come out and dance their way to the earth temple💗 . . . . . . . . . . . #innerchild #sacred #play #earth #magic #labyrinth #dancing #radicalspirits #witch #healing #movement #strathcona #eastvan #vancouver #park

They look…. moist. Once the rain comes and properly washes them away, I’ll head back and chalk some fresh Labyrinths along the False Creek Seawall. Likely after Ramadan. I went for a walk last Friday evening and found the Labyrinths. The witches of “da ‘hood” have been busy. #falsecreekseawall A post shared by Naelyan Wyvern […]
