I first painted a a green and yellow Labyrinth on this pavelock brick circle beside the Basketball courts in Christie Pits Park on Thursday June 8 2006.
I’ve repainted it at least once.
Grass has overtaken it.
I don’t know that I will paint it again.
Maybe it’s okay as it is,
A Fading Green and Yellow Ghost Labyrinth . . .
West side of Robson Square closer to Hornby Street stands a Giant Christmas Tree.
East side of Robson Square closer to Howe Street lays the Labyrinth.
Grateful to live in a City where the Labyrinths I make remain walkable in the Winter Months.
This is pretty much how the Vancouver Public Labyrinth looks like from a distance, if you are observing False Creek from the multi-use pathway along the Seawall.
There is enough green space for a second smaller Stone Labyrinth to be created closer to the pathway.
I made a small three lane Classic Labyrinth late this past summer. It remained recognizable and walkable for many, many weeks.
Hopefully I may be able to create a Baltic Design pass-through Labyrinth made of stones in the near future.
Not everyone feels comfortable enough to wander off the paved path and onto the grass to reach the Labyrinth and then walk it.
A second Stone Labyrinth made much closer to the pathway may be just enough for some people to expand their comfort zone, and go for a Labyrinth Walk.

They painted over the old name,
And kept the old Labyrinth . . .
The Minotaur Mural on Wallace Avenue is down the street and around the corner from the Labyrinth I painted onto the surface of the wading pool in Campbell Park in Toronto.
Though I don’t intentionally create Mazes, paths with dead ends, Campbell Park’s wading pool had some resurfacing done which transformed my Labyrinth into something random and incomplete.
So of all the places in Toronto to mural up a Minotaur, this location is closest to that one Labyrinth of mine which is now a maze.
Mazes have Minotaurs. Labyrinths have love.
I prefer the latter.
