Thank you Randy for sharing photos of my Octagon Labyrinth in Budapest Park.
After a summer’s worth of water filled Wading Pool Labyrinthing,
My painted colours have faded enough and it’s time for a refresh,
So that’s what I hope to complete before the snow falls.
The Wading Pool inside Budapest Park,
Immediately north of the Sunnyside Boardwalk,
Opposite the east side of Sunnyside Pool,
Is normally filled with water every day throughout the summer.
Yet this past Sunday and again today, Civic Holiday Monday, it remained dry,
Offering the chance to easily walk my Octagon Labyrinth water-free.
For the rest of the summer during daytime hours,
You can still experience walking the Labyrinth in ankle deep water which is fun too.
Ice Cream !
Being enjoyed along the border wall of a water-filled Wading Pool Labyrinth in Budapest Park, Toronto.
Noah,
Grateful for your kind, most kind, generous, and unexpected acknowledgement.
Thank you.
“If you’ve ever noticed the intricate beauty of a Labyrinth painted into a splash pad in a Toronto park,
Or even taken a few meditative and reflective minutes to walk its lanes,
You can thank this artist,
HiMY aka @LabyrinthsDOTca
He has made 200 of them across the city,
Unpaid and sometimes without permission.
He takes the time to learn about the people and history of the community so that he can represent them.
He returns to maintain them.
In his words,
They are an “Outstallation” for us each to experience in our own way.
They are a gift for which I am deeply thankful.”
“Splash Pad with a Heart. Lakeshore, TO
I have taken many photos on the Lakeshore in 2021.
Sometime it is good to let them lie for a while and look at them with fresh eyes.
This photo got little bit colour overhaul, but otherwise it is unaltered.
Call me Mr. Pragmatic, but I like the idea of a maze, so even when the weather is cold, the splash pad is still being used.

“With everything shut down the boardwalk was busy.
Plus,
It seemed like a good day to finally walk the Labyrinth.”
