“Nestled in a thriving neighbourhood, Margaret Fairley Park has a popular wading pool feature with a small Labyrinth mural.”
This little park kept its “A” rating in 2016’s Annual Parks Survey conducted by The Annex Gleaner.

One of my older Labyrinths, I painted this one on the Traffic Island opposite Christie Street Subway Station, north of Bloor Street West in Toronto . . .
There used to be a water fountain in the middle, and thus the weird oval shape making up the enlarged centre of the Labyrinth.
The intention was you would walk the Labyrinth and then be able to get a drink of water using the fountain.
The fountain broke.
I painted the Labyrinth to draw attention to the broken water fountain.
Urban Acupuncture !
Rather than fix the fountain, the City of Toronto removed it.
I’ve been re-painting this Labyrinth ever since . . .
I was kind of pissed off that after all my work in creating this Labyrinth, this lady and comes and chalks her commercial website’s URL right in the centre of the Heart…
It gave an impression that she or her website created or sponsored this Heart Labyrinth on Augusta Avenue.
Aw well.
That’s kind of different . . .
A real life “Swan” in the Labyrinth!
“Evan, Tylor, Evelyn and I were at a new Labyrinth when we were approached by a mysterious man who turned out to be the Labyrinth’s designer.
He told us a couple fun facts including the fact that Toronto has the most labyrinths of any city in the world!
So I guess we’ll be doing them all summer.
Labyrinths are great for mindfulness and meditation. 😊”
The incline towards the centre appears removed and you’d never realize the three colour Labyrinth was never painted upon a flat surface.
A Wonderful capture of my Labyrinth painted in the abandoned wading pool in Riverdale Park East.
@vfa_landscape Visited #wadsworthpark again yesterday to re-measure wading pool; unusual actual radius/diameters … pic.twitter.com/Rr7AdeqKPP
