This was the final Labyrinth I painted on North Augusta Avenue before the street was re-opened to vehicular traffic this past Pedestrian Sunday Kensington Market.

As I finished chalking, Yvonne Bambrick informed me I had barely 30 minutes to paint the chalk outline of my design, before the cars began rolling through.

I rushed the painting and took every short cut I could to complete at least a single coat of paint atop the chalk outline.

Only one Aglet was transformed into a Heart.

The Heart at the top of the Labyrinth was left with only the outline painted and one long brush roll half-way into the centre of it.

I was shocked, surprised, satisfied with how fast I painted it.

It was walk-able. Which numerous people began to do.

Yet many more people self-organized for group photographs captured atop the Labyrinth.

I’m still basking in the glow, the feeling, the learnings, from this Red Labyrinth.

Something has changed for me.

I can complete painted Labyrinths a LOT faster than I thought.

When Yvonne gave that 30 minute warning, she didn’t dissuade me from beginning to paint, she simply let me factually know I had a deadline.

My mind wanted to blurt out loud, “Challenge Accepted.”

…I kept that to myself.

Humility. The hell with my Hubris.

Result ?

This Red Labyrinth . . .

Early morning light begins revealing the Orange Labyrinth I painted on Labyrinth Pier in Vancouver . . .

Initially I had chosen Yellow as the colour for this location, yet at the last moment, I picked up the Orange Can of Paint instead.

Mornings like this one confirm Orange was the way to go . . .

This is the western Boardwalk portion of Labyrinth Pier.

My intention was to paint a long rectangular Labyrinth in various shades of Green with The Overlook Maze from the film The Shining as a design inspiration.

I ran out of time last year to complete this.

The Boardwalk ain’t going anywhere, so, when I return to Vancity and have time and energy . . .

You can make out the Heart Labyrinth I painted in Red.

The red paint has since faded,

Nevertheless,

This long exposure re-reveals it !

The Labyrinth I painted in Grange Park back in April was removed only days before my World Labyrinth Day City of Labyrinths Jane’s Walk.

Many people expressed to me how disappointed they were after it was removed.

This past Sunday I painted a New Grange Park Labyrinth.

I stuck with the colour blue, to match the giant Blue cladding of the Art Gallery of Ontario.

New design is also round instead of my previous unique rectangular-ish path, which you can see the top of in this first image . . .

This round Blue Labyrinth Design in line of sight of the Art Gallery of Ontario in Downtown Toronto is the exact same design of the Multi-Colour Labyrinth I painted in Robson Square in Downtown Vancouver.
