Set in the re-imagined “Realm of T’Rannah” (formerly the Town of Ork), the Dungeon Master, along with a company of elves, dwarves and trolls (played by a merry host of Canadian Comedy Award-winning improvisors and dyed-in-the-wool die-rollers) will storm the gates of Castle Ohma, upgrade their gear at Forthright Ed’s and plumb the dark PATHs of the Mountains of Finance.

Armed with their Player’s Handbooks (the show program), audiences will be called upon to take up the giant, twenty-sided Die of Power to determine the fates of the heroes as they face wandering Minotourists, relentless Bed-Bugbears or perhaps even a mighty, fire-spitting Drake!

D&D Live: The Legend of T’Rannah is an improv show based on the Dungeons and Dragons roll of the dice board game.

Mooney on Theatre has an excellent review of what to expect.

Formerly, an annual series of weekly shows at the Comedy Bar, D&D Live now plays at Bad Dog Comedy Theatre, 875 Bloor Street West, every last Monday of the month beginning at 8 p.m.

Tickets are 10 bucks.

And if you go, beware… The Minotourist!
