Happy World Labyrinth Day 2021 !
Happy World Labyrinth Day 2021 !
“Just like a scene from a movie,
A group of Toronto teenagers were having a hip hop dance party in the weekend night.
They took turn to show off their talent for dance,
No TV show jury,
No commercial tickets,
Everyone was a star on the center stage,
And everyone gave their admiration and encouragement to each other.”
Looking south,
This is my 7 Lane Pass-Through Labyrinth I recently painted on the pathway beside the ice hockey rink in the north-east corner of Trinity-Bellwoods Park, Downtown Toronto.
Thank you for choosing to include me painting Labyrinths on Augusta Avenue for the Opening 10 Seconds of your video!
Hmmm…
Depending on how much of the existing Painted lines which make up my Heart Labyrinth survives by the August 25 2019 Pedestrian Sunday, I may redesign the Heart into a New Labyrinth.
An Expecting Mom smiling atop the Heart Labyrinth I re-painted on Augusta Avenue during Pedestrian Sunday in Kensington Market, Downtown Toronto . . .
Cars beginning rolling atop my painted Labyrinths all along North Augusta Avenue after it re-opens to vehicular traffic . . .
That’s me painting my first Labyrinth of the Day, on Kensington Avenue in Kensington Market on Pedestrian Sunday . . .
It was HOT.
Then suddenly, as I finished painting this multi-colour Street Labyrinth, a few drops of rain began to cool down the heat.
With the ground now wet, I opted to walk north through the Market towards Augusta Avenue, where I intended to re-paint the three now faded Labyrinths I had painted one month ago, during the previous Pedestrian Sunday.
When painting Labyrinths in Wading Pools, I do not consider my colour choices on what it will look like with the water filled in.
Looking at this photo, has me rethinking that decision.
It would be yet one more dimension to my use of Wading Pools as Labyrinth canvases . . .
Haven’t returned to Sir Casimir Gzowksi Park since I recently re-painted my Labyrinth in the Wading Pool.
Wonderful to see how well the colours work with the wading pool filled with water !
First time seeing my Dish With One Spoon / Man In The Maze / Medicine Wheel Labyrinth filled with water.
Looks even better than when I first imagined it in my mind’s eye four years ago . . .
“Before summer storm moves in, the pool for children is empty.
We could see the symbol of indigenous traditional culture, the four colours wheel.
How many of Canadian kids knew the meanings of four colours wheel?”
