That’s me painting my first Labyrinth of the Day, on Kensington Avenue in Kensington Market on Pedestrian Sunday . . .
It was HOT.
Then suddenly, as I finished painting this multi-colour Street Labyrinth, a few drops of rain began to cool down the heat.
With the ground now wet, I opted to walk north through the Market towards Augusta Avenue, where I intended to re-paint the three now faded Labyrinths I had painted one month ago, during the previous Pedestrian Sunday.
And who can resist a Mom asking if her Little One can walk a still-being-painted Labyrinth ?
Not I.
He and his mom were the first walkers of my first of two Labyrinths painted on Kensington Avenue . . .
White and Orange Labyrinths on Labyrinth Pier, Vancouver . . .
My intention was to paint at least five and possibly seven very different Labyrinth Designs, each a different colour.
I was only able to complete four of them.
These two remain visible and walk-able.
This Labyrinth was originally going to be painted yellow.
Instead,
I chose Orange as an impulse buy at the paint store.
It worked out well.
This long exposure confirms it . . .
Look closely in the top left of the image.
You can make out the Heart Labyrinth I painted in Red.
The red paint has since faded,
Nevertheless,
This long exposure re-reveals it !
Ownership of the Restaurant which commissioned me to paint a small Labyrinth in front of their place, has changed.
New owners painted over the name of the former Vietnamese Sandwich shop, whose name I had included in the original design.
They kept the Labyrinth . . .
This is the first instance of seeing someone online use “Labyrinth Pier”,
The name I chose for the series of Labyrinths I painted here !
The Orange Labyrinth I painted is holding up well, the other Labyrinth needs a few coats of white paint.
It’ll be among the first Labyrinths I re-paint upon my return to Vancouver . . .

WOW!
This is the first aerial image of Labyrinth Pier, Vancouver I’ve seen.
The Orange and White Labyrinths I painted onto the Pier along the False Creek Seawall south east of Granville Island are easily visible.
My Red and Blue painted Labyrinths are almost invisible.
I am so very grateful for this drone photo!
By now, I full well understand my Labyrinths impact people in ways I could never imagine.
And yet, the caption connected to this image leaves me Speechless.
Numb.
Grateful to be a part of Someone’s Journey;
Someone’s Joy.
People oft times ask Why I make Labyrinth all over the cities I find myself in.
This answer is as good as any.
If you look carefully enough, you may discover any number of my Labyrinths all along The Seawall from Granville Island to just past Science World.

This is an unusual photograph in that the Seam of the pier, where different direction wooden planks meet, are the centre of the image.
A careful look reveals my red colour painted Heart Labyrinth.
